It's been a week since I'm back home in Lithuania. Besides battling jetlag, I've been enjoying occupying my mind with work, side projects, and running around the town seeing friends and family.

I had a great opportunity to photograph a local gravel bike race organized by Gravelonas, called Gravel TT. I was in full-on ecstatic mode. Cyclists would fly by, I’d take the shots, and while waiting for others to ride past, I’d laugh like a little kid. It brought me back to the times when I photographed some peeps in Patagonia few months ago. I'm definitely joining more cycling-related events - maybe even sporting events in general.

And behind the scenes - color grading - never dissapoints. That's me going through the photos right after the photoshoot. Loving my office by the way, there's coffee machine and it's relatively quiet.

I wonder how many cycling events I can photograph this year. It would be grand to gain more experience and get to know the cyclists, other photographers, and organizers. The mood here in my hometown Kaunas is generally good, and the weather is starting to improve too. Luckily, I came back from my year-long trip in April. The dark season - January, February, and March - is quite gloomy here in Lithuania. Something to consider for the future: maybe I skip those three months, do some bikepacking, and come back when spring begins?
