To improve my bikepacking and cycling photography skills, I need to take on some unpaid work. Especially knowing that I have started recently. Free work is paid work. I'm certain that it will pay off in the future. For now, it pays off in other ways. The photos I take for free help me in these ways:
a) Add strong pieces to my portfolio
b) Provide clients with professional-quality images
c) Position myself as a backup photographer in case the main one drops out
Lately, this has been my approach. I also need to get my name out there - among bike race organizers, the bikepacking community, cycling talents, and other photographers across Europe. Last week, I did a photoshoot for Kautra bus company. We created a cycling route for people searching for bike paths on the Kautra website. How much I got out of it? -€12.13

I also photographed a local social cycling ride organized by Laikra. Total profit? €0.00.
The upcoming weekend looks exciting. There will be two cycling events. Guess how much I will be getting paid? Well... Soon.
